Rock Band - Kids - Friday 3:00pm

This program offers the perfect opportunity to bring your individual skills into a dynamic group setting. Experience the joy of playing music with friends or make new ones as you explore the art of band performance. Our teachers will guide your band from the basics to stage-ready performances while learning some of the following skills:
Know Your Gear & Volume Management
Setup and Breakdown
Pedals and Effects
Playing without Hearing Yourself
How to Learn a Song on the Fly
Create Original Songs
Soloing and Riffing
And so much more!!
Led by Casey Sublette and Alex Madrid along with special guests on soloing and individual skills, this class is 18 weeks long (1 week off for Spring Break) with the last class being a live performance at South Bay Customs in El Segundo.
Cost may be split into 3 payments.

Requirements: | Students need to bring their own instruments (not drums, keyboards or amps). |

Instructor Bio: | Max first picked up music right here at Dietz Bros, learning bass while he was singing for the infamous Casual Thursdays in the fourth grade. He has since gone on to study jazz theory and composition, picking up a multitude of instruments along the way. His proficiency in both harmony and technique are what make him a well rounded teacher. He has playing experience in many different settings including Jazz big bands, combos, rock bands, and even UC Riverside's Orchestra. His passion for music is always growing and evolving and he is currently studying Jazz Performance under Larry Steen. |
